The one who sees all works in every manner being performed by nature, and sees the soul as a non-doer, he sees in the true sense.

💬 Commentary English

It is a matter to be reflected upon once more! As it is, see it in that perspective. Not through the lenses of one' own imaginations and belief. Not by applying fixed notions but see it in true and real sense! Understand the reality and reflect upon it! Till the time the right sense of discrimination is not developed, all the spiritual activities like worship, reading of scriptures, chanting with rosary, reading and hearing are incomplete. The bondage and the cycle of coming and going will persist as it is. That is why the preacher of the Gita is giving emphasis to the right way of viewing things-

The Self is the non-doer. All the activities are taking place due to nature-this appears to be strange in itself. On one hand it is stated that all is taking place due to that power of consciousness, i. e. the self or the Supreme Self. But here the description appears to be absolutely different. The electric current is causing the fan to give air, and causing the bulb and the tube to emit light. Observe carefully and try to understand! The electric current itself is the non-doer. The state is exactly the same! The Self is the higher energy of all energies; everything is being achieved through its energy but the Self itself is the non-doer; nature on acquiring the current of the Self power is performing its works and is causing the embodied beings to perform their functions in accordance with their nature and attributes. In this verse is an extremely evident inspiration that abides in the spirit of the Self; remain as a non-doer. The Self is our real nature, realise it, abide in it. All is happening in Nature; observe it as a witness; do not associate yourself with it. The matter is clear; we are not causing the sun to rise and set nor the air to blow nor the rain to fall or to stop. This is the play of Nature; allow it to happen in Nature. Enjoy the delight of being the witness. Keep yourself apart from the sense of doership. You will be automatically free from the bondage of doership; then this state will also become possible-
