(The yoga of Imperishable Supreme)

Shrimad Bhagvad Gita is a mysterious scripture. To solve the most complicated of the complicated mysteries in a simple manner is the special style of the Gita's sermon. Each chapter is in itself a fresh inspiration. Every chapter carries some new thought, new aspect, the revelation of new secrets that too in its own inimitable original style. The eighth chapter is entitled the Yoga of Imperishable Supreme.

Of the several specialities of the Gita one of them is that the seeds of the beginning of the succeeding chapter are sown in the concluding verses of the preceding chapter. In the last two verses of the seventh chapter, six words have been used in a special manner. Brahmn, Adhyatam, Karma, Adhibhuta, Adhidaiva and Adhiyagya! The chapter concluded but not before giving rise to a fresh enquiry in Arjun's mind. These very six words were put in the form of a question with humility by Arjun to the charioteer of his chariot, but at present playing the supremely glorious role of the preacher of the Gita, Lord Shri Krishna. This forms the beginning of the eighth chapter, The Yoga of the Imperishable Supreme.
