💬 Commentary English

The inner vision in the Gita has been given great importance. It is of importance too! There is a difference in the way one sees. This inner vision plays a very important role in spiritual life. If we see the world as real and permanent and pleasure, giving then it is certain that we are not viewing it in a right manner; because this is not reality. The world as it appears to the external vision is in reality not so. Its reality is something else. This verse is pointing to that reality-

The reality is that whatever is visible in general is transitory, perishable and is involved in the cycle of coming and going from this world. Observe either the body or nature in any other form-'adhyantavantah'-the state of one having a beginning or an end will be found. There is nothing which remains the same and uniform forever. Each and every particle is changing with each and every moment. There are unbalances pertaining to form and nature as well as qualities and works which are commonly found. The balances pertaining to high and low and big and small are also found side by side. The right vision is that which is able to perceive as to who is behind all this changes? The world cycle cannot go on unless there is an eternal imperishable substratum. This very substratum is the Supreme Who is equally present in all beings. There is no difference, no high or low, no big or small! He is in all and equally present in all. Develop the spirit of looking at the entire phenomenon thoughtfully. Whatever is visible, try to see what is behind it. Whose power and governance prevails? This fact and truth will become evident! To see this truth in true sense is the true vision.
