📜 Translation English

O Parth! the one who realizes the soul to be indestructible, ever present unborn and changeless, how can that person kill or cause others to be killed?

💬 Commentary English

For the soul the terms like indestructible, unborn, eternal have been repeated here. But this repetition is for the purpose of encouragement. Mere reading and acquiring knowledge from the Gita cannot enable one to derive inspirations completely. To bring it into practice is also insisted upon. This is what is meant here. First-hand knowledge is gained that the soul is of this nature, but here the indication and motivation is directed to the state of those who have actualy understood it. Whoever comes to experience that the soul neither kills nor is killed then why will he kill or cause anyone to be killed. In this age of increasing terrorist activities, there is a great necessity for these kind of inspirations based on awareness creating essential truth principle from the Gita. Abandon sloth, ignorance and unite yourself to such motivations from the Gita.

It is good to read, hear and understand the Gita. But it is imperative to know these inspirations in essence. At least our motherland India should become an ideal for the ideal inspirations of the present age.
