We need to Know that imperishable by whom this entire world and appearances are pervaded. No one is capable of bringing about the destruction of this imperishable One.

💬 Commentary English

The Gita is a scripture of logical reasoning. Lord Shri Krishna is an absolute incarnation. He is endowed with all skills, all knowledge, all-knowing, Lord of all. That form is immortal, i.e. indestructible. Why? The assertion made is appropriate and logical! Because He is all-pervading. The entire visible world is pervaded by Him. He is in every particle and every particle is in Him. The Supreme is beyond the limitations of time and space. The destroyer of the world can show its influence only on the object which is subject to the limits of time and place. Apart from the Supreme everything is subject to the influence of time. Everything is subject to change and separation. The Supreme is infinite and is therefore beyond all bounds. That is why Time cannot affect the Supreme; He is always the same in form, essence and balanced and eternal.

No one is capable of bringing about the destruction of this imperishable One. Limitless is only the Supreme and everything else is within limitation of time and space. Hiranyakashiyapu desired, declared and tried his utmost that Narayan (Lord) does not exist. He made every possible effort to destroy the experience of the Divine existence. But all attempts failed. Prahlad was given unbearable tortures - all attempts to drown, set afire and cut by weapons failed because there the Divine Principle had already manifested itself in the spiritual emotions. The essential truth of the Supreme is indestructible; His Name, the influence of His Name is indelible and those having unswerving faith in Him are immortal.
