🕉 English Translation

📜 Translation English

All bodies, of this indestructible, indeterminable, everlasting form of the embodied soul, are said to be destructible. That is why, O descendant of the Bharat clan! Arjun, fight!

💬 Commentary English

The preacher of the Gita is here indicating to all confronting in the battlefield. All those who are standing here, O Parth! They are perishable. Seeing those bodies you have sunk in grief and delusion, have become uncertain as to your duty; these bodies in any case are not going to survive forever, whereas the soul in all these bodies is the same and is indestructible. Bodies will not survive forever and the soul can never be destroyed. If any one asks for proof, the soul is indeterminable by direct means of perception.

The soul is not subject to any proof. Sunlight is self-evident. Any separate illumination is not required to experience sunlight. Soul is self evident and is its own evidence. So, become ready to fight, Arjun! Understand the call of duty at this hour; you are endowed with complete knowledge of your duty; comprehend the Reality; do not allow yourself to come to such a state!
