📜 Translation English

In reality, all actions of all kinds are done by the attribute of nature (gunas) but whose inner-self is deluded by ego, such an ignorant person thinks that I am doer.

💬 Commentary English

The knowledgeable should not delude the ignorant. Observe the working of Nature. Arising or setting of the sun, the lunar light, the falling of rain, the blowing of winds with a high or low velocity and similarly all other workings of Nature. Now observe your body. The building of the body, its growth, its digestive power, blood circulation, heart beat all these are taking place. If someone feels that I am doing this, this is the indication of ignorance. The Lord says that the person deluded by egoism considers himself to be the doer. The reality is guna guneshu vartant the qualities are acting on qualities. There are three qualities sattava, raj and tam. Actions also take place due to the dominance of any of these three qualities. Where sattoguna is predominant then spiritual company, service, rememberance of the Lord etc. and inclination for self-elevating activities will be carried out. Where there is predominance of rajoguna there owing to the influence of greed, attachment and egoism there will be passion for activities, and if the tamoguna holds aways then indolence, sloth, excessive sleep and inclination towards actions prohibited by the scriptures will be seen.
