💬 Commentary English

Everyone is familiar with the importance of food. From the viewpoint of physical existence food is an essential factor in birth and nourishment. All beings remain alive by consuming food. In the origin of food rain is the main cause. Rain is caused by sacrifice. The Gita is a scripture of Essential Truths. Prior to this it has been hinted that Nature is governed by the gods. Sacrifice meaning the egoless actions done for the welfare of others increases the pleasure of the gods.

'Karma brahmodbhavan viddhi'–Know actions to have arisen from the Vedas. In the tradition of the scripture the Vedas get first place. Just as the actions minus egoism, clinging and selfishness is called sacrifice in the same manner only the actions ordained by the scriptures are known to be actions. The Gita is a scripture of Essential Truth. It contains the main Truth principles of the Vedas. The Gita enables us to understand our goal cogently. Therefore, this scripture states only the fundamental Truth of Existence. The Reality has been put forward in straight terms. Time and again, this scripture has warned against desire-motivated actions. The Vedas are not just oriented towards desireful actions. Desireful actions can be part of initial spiritual journey. Abandoning the Truth principle the Brahm was expounded in the Vedas describing only the text part of it. The Vedas undoubtedly are beyond arguments, are the base for Indian cultural traditions, inspirations and philosophical thinking. There is a necessity to bring about magnanimity in thinking towards the Vedas and also recognising their essence. The Gita's preaching contains outstanding and different but very clear indications; observe with seriousness and try to understand and reflect and bring it into practice in day-to-day life.
