🕉 English Translation

📜 Translation English

Those extremely bewildered by the qualities of Nature remain attached to qualities and actions. Let not the knower of whole, unsettle the ignorant persons of dull intellect who cannot fully comprehend.

💬 Commentary English

The Blessed Lord is showing His large-heartedness here. Do not unsettle them. If any one is performing good deeds even though not with a selfless motive, allow him to let him do so. On being unsettled he might even drop whatever good he is doing. By keeping on doing good it is possible that his consciousness may awaken and he may on his own be drawn to that noble state. One should wait for this state to arrive with patience and conviction. Many people are performing sacrifice, charity, or any dedicated activity with some worldly desire in mind. The deliverer of the Gita sermon is cautioning: They should not be deflected.
