💬 Commentary English

Arjun in the second verse of this chapter had put a straightforward question to the Lord. O Krishna! Do not bewilder me and keep me in a state of uncertainity. Tell me in clear terms what is to be done by me. In the chapter after giving several arguments, logic and motivations for actions, now a clear decision is being given to Arjun. He has to fight, it is the call of duty at the moment. The Blessed Lord says first of all withdraw your mind from the thoughts and worries about casual things. The work has to be performed by the body. Let it do so, but connect your inner-self with Me. The essence of spirituality will start getting grasped from here itself. When the inner-self is contacted with the world, then only egoism, attachment, expectations and as a consequence of all, this anguish finds its way in to our life. The inner-self should be dedicated to divinity. In reality, the essential nature of the inner-self is the Lord. When inner association is with the Lord, it will result in natural surrender to Him, devoid of egoism.
