🕉 English Translation

📜 Translation English

In the senses the objects of the senses meaning that in the object of every sense, attachment and aversion are hidden. Man should not come under the sway of both of them, because both of them are great adversaries on his path of elevation.

💬 Commentary English

Attachment and aversion are the inclinations of the mind. Lord Krishna says that every sense has attachment and aversion for its objects. The seeker should not in anyway, anywhere gets deflected, does not come under the sway of illusion. In whatever sensual object one finds suitability there develops attachment and wherever there is an unfavourable situation one develops aversion. Whether it is attachment or aversion both are adversaries for the seeker on the spiritual path. Likes and dislikes rob the seeker of their spiritual means and wealth. Lord Krishna for this reason cautions O seeker! Protect yourself from these attachments and aversions. Do not come under their sway ever!
