Lord Krishna is extremely magnanimous. It is His usual nature to give each one the honour he deserves. To remain confined to His own greatness is not becoming of Him. He pays attention to fine details with regard to tradition. The responsibility for creating the world is of Brahmaji. That is why while mentioning about the sacrifice He does not fail to remember Bramaji. The creation of the world itself is the beginning of the sacrificial work and in this beginning Brahmaji is the medium for the accomplishment of this sacrifice.
'Sahyagya' Creatures were created by Brahma by sacrifice. This statement is thought-provoking and inspiring. Sacrifice is not a new practice. Just as in the fourth chapter in the context of yoga the deliverer of the Gita sermon has explained–'yogah proktah puratanah'. Parth! The yoga I am talking about is eternal, ancient, has been existing since the beginning of the creation. Similarly the spirit of sacrifice began with the creation. It is a direct inspiration that the creation began with sacrifice; therefore, it is essential that the creatures should maintain the spirit of sacrifice, and personal, familiar, social, national and worldly life should be conducted in the spirit of sacrifice.
Selfishness is narrow-mindedness and sacrifice large-heartedness. Large heartedness is only capable of carrying life towards progress. Narrow-mindness will only be called the misfortune of human life. 'Ishta kamdhuk'–this is a pure allurement. By any means the human being should avoid getting narrow minded. He should involve himself in the spirit of sacrifice.
