💬 Commentary English

After the heights of knowledge, the marvellous bliss of supreme devotion, the practical but very sweet relation of knowledge with devotion comes now another secret which causes amazement, but is absolutely open, evident and clear.

This is the blending of devotion with knowledge and now action with the mix of knowledge and devotion. In fact, this is the complete gain of life. It is a beautiful coordination of all the three kinds of yoga! Till the body lasts, actions are bound to take place–such indications have been given on several occasions in the inspirations from the Gita. Mostly worldly actions take place but they all lead to bondage. A beautiful glimpse of a free conduct while performing action can be found here. Actions existed earlier and will also be there in the present. Earlier actions were performed under the false and unreal refuge of the world; now they will take place under the refuge of the Supreme! Actions will take place with total absorption in the spirit of the Divine. There will be no expectation from action; there will also be no sense of doership of action in any way. All is happening due to the Divine grace; the outcome too will be His grace. When repeatedly such an attitude, thoughts and rememberance prevails then grace too will keep on being experienced. When there is no thought of the world and desire related to it, then the bondage of world will also be absent. The Blessed Lord states that in such a state the embodied being can attain imperishable eternal status by His grace, from where there is no return.

This is the Gita's style eulogized the world over, of living life in a state of freedom, with no bondage while living in the world. Freedom from anxieties, stress, fear, grief and after giving up the body the natural attainment of the supreme status! Clear indication is given not to take that the attainment of supreme status as attainable only after death. Learn the art of conducting yourself while being alive; become dedicated to the Divine; see Brahmn everywhere in the inner emotions only He should reside–the liberation thereafter is yours as a natural corollary.
