In any meeting, social or ideological discussion, it is not right to refute the viewpoint of anyone downrightly. This augments the propensity of remaining entangled in rudeness, wickedness and hostility, contradiction and endorsement, arguments and counter-arguments. Do give a patient hearing to whatever someone is saying. If there is some deficiency in it or something better comes to your mind, first allow the other person to present his view and try to associate your thoughts with it in an easy manner. Your view will get the required importance and honour and at the same time a healthy tradition of thought will evolve. Every state of Lord Krishna from this point of view deserves to be emulated.
Actions of sacrifice, charity and austerity should be continuously performed; they should not be abandoned under any circumstance. If on reading this, someone feels that we have relinquished everything and have become ascetics or recluses, why should we invite these troubles for ourselves? What need do we have for it? These three activities purify the inner-self of even the wise and the learned. That the inner-self should remain pure; this is one of the main requirements on the path of self-elevation. While conducting oneself in the world something or the other impurities in the form of impressions are caused by the effect of the defects of actions. The actions of sacrifice, charity and austerity give freedom from the same. The accumulated impurities inside get washed away by these activities. Otherwise too, the body should not become inactive. Inactivity and indolence is no way a sign of spirituality. Some pure, positive and pious activity should be performed so that the effect of negative, impure, inauspicious, rajasic and tamasic activities may be obliterated simultaneously.
