Yagya mai hun aur unki reetiyan mai,
Pitaro ka ann sab vansapatiyan mai.
Mantra va agni mujhe jaan tu,
Ghee aur havan ki mai kriya bhi hun.

I am the ritual action, the sacrifice and also the ancestral oblation, I am the medicinal herb, the sacred hymn, the clarified butter, the fire, the act of offering also I am.
The word 'visvatomukham' is not just a word only, it is a form of worship. If one has to adopt this method of worship then it cannot be perfected by just sitting a few minutes with eyes closed or by merely sitting with open eyes in front of any form of the Lord! In every act, state or situation one has to see the Supreme and experience Him. By ritualistic sacrifice the Blessed Lord is starting the description of this fact.
The Supreme is all, the act, the doer and the act of doing-this is an essential truth. There is a need to feel this way while engaged in any act. The example given here is of ritualistic sacrifice! The ritualistic sacrifice may be that which is performed in accordance with Shruti, i. e. the Vedic tradition or in accordance with the traditions of Smriti described in puranas-both are the forms of the Lord! In the oblation given in the fire of sacrifice meant for manes, which is 'svadha' and also those herbs like sesame seed, barley, rice which are used in it-that too I am. Those mantras which are pronounced in these sacrifices, the fire in which the oblations are offered; not just this but complete act of performing? sacrifice also I am, so says the Lord.
Imagine what would be the difference between performing the sacrifice as mere action and performing the sacrifice in this spirit-experience it after performing. Sacrifice itself will become worship and it will become knowledge and meditation too!
