Verse 39
🕉 Original Sanskrit Shloka

etanme saṁśayaṁ kṛṣņa chettumarhasyaśeşataḥ

tvadanyaḥ saṁśayāsyasya chettā na hyupapadyate

🕉 English Translation

Prabho! Puree tarah yeh shanka meri,

Mitane ko bas yogya ho aap hee.

Nahin koyi dikhta sevaa aap ke

Sanshya mera duur jo kar sakey.

📜 Translation English

O Krishna! You are the only one who can completely dispel this doubt of mine; for none other than You Yourself can be the dispeller of this doubt.

💬 Commentary English

e con n of willingness to know along with is a good sign. If from whom one is enquiring, one does not have faith, and doubt persists-and enquiry is being made; whether solution will be found or not, as towards the person to whom the query is directed there is suspicion; this is not a good situation. Arjun put forward his doubt before the Blessed Lord and along with it using the language of faith, has presented for the enquiring seekers a good and healthy tradition and inspiration:

In reality, in spirituality, attainment is based on faith. Any doubt can be removed only by the knower of the scripture and such an enquiry pertaining to Essential Truth can be resolved only by the knower of the Truth-Principle. Here in front of Arjun is none other than the worlds teacher Lord Krishna Himself. For this reason there remains no room for doubt. Even then, see the humility of Arjun; he is full of reverence towards Lord Krishna which is the glory of Indian traditional way of questioning and finding a solution. The Blessed Lord glanced towards Arjun and in the following verses started resolving his query-
