💬 Commentary English

The attainment of happiness is a normal and natural desire of a human being. In this section, the Blessed Lord is trying to show that O embodied being! The ultimate happiness, the highest happiness, absolute happiness lies in the attainment of God. With the practice of yoga of meditation it can be acquired easily because it is meant for you only; it is your absolute right. Then why do you keep yourself deprived of it? Whatever happiness was attained by contact with sensual objects disappeared gradually or took the form of sorrow; that was to happen anyway (Gita 5/22)! Come into the state of being in contact with Brahmn and observe the bliss of this state:

Whatever inclinations, impurities, thoughts, actions, company take one away from the Lord, all these are sins. From this point of view the inclinations of 'Iness' and 'myness', etc. fall into this category. Contact with Brahmn is not an external activity but an inner state. As long as the inner state is full of 'Iness' and 'myness', this state is not possible. For this reason, the sinless is the one who deserves contact with Brahmn and in Brahmn lies the best and the ultimate happiness of life! Some more sweet experiences of this state are described further!
