Work and work related issues have been taken up and openly clarified. The Lord does not create the doership, works and association of works with fruits of action. The sense of doership is the ignorance of the embodied being; it has not been created by the Lord nor has it been caused by Him. Man due to ignorance assumes himself to be the doer. Behind all actions lie the governance, power or energy of the Lord but He does not ordain the good or evil doings involved in action. This is dependent on man himself. For this purpose the Lord has endowed humans with the special gift of intellect. One can awaken one's discernment and take decision accordingly. Similarly the Lord can create and does create such fruits of action-but the being has created his association with such actions and its fruits himself-the Lord has not done so.
It is nature which acts, i. e. as one's nature is, in accordance with it, such situations are made and developed. Satoguna, rajoguna, tamoguna, whichever quality predominates the nature, in accordance with it, the conduct will take place. This, in fact, is a verse giving a positive inspiration. The being if he so desires can free himself from the sense of doership originating from ignorance and employing himself in virtuous deeds can uplift himself beyond the cycle of the fruits of action. In this regard, there is no hurdle or bondage from any front; the being has to introspect and awaken his discernment! The description of the mystery of action related in the Gita follows with further clarifications-
