Chapter 16 — Daivasursampada Vibhag Yoga
Verse 14

asau mayā hataḥ śatrurhanisye cāparānapi
īśvaro'hamahaṁ bhogī siddho'haṁ balavānsukhī
🕉 English Translation
Mara gaya mujhse dushman hai woh,
Marunga mai ab sabhi auron ko.
Iswar hun aishwarya bhogun sabhi,
Balwan siddh rehta hun mai sukhi.

English
I have slain that enemy and others also will be slain by me. I am the Lord, I am the enjoyer of prosperity, I am endowed with all perfections, am mighty and happy.
Righteousness, wealth, passion, liberation-have been said to be the four activities of the human life. In the demoniac nature there is no place for either righteousness or for liberation! Wealth and lust become the end and be all of existence, i.e. they become all. 'Kamopabhogaparama' gratification of lust is their ultimate objective (Gita 16/11), is their sole aim in life. By hook or by crook wealth should be acquired and desires should be fulfilled. Sometime greed takes hold and at other times lust, entirely given over to anger! If the frenzy increases then the situation takes this turn.
Subjection to any disposition is not proper. The frenzy of the propensities sometimes creates a very damaging situation. In this verse is described the result of the surge of egoism. Under total subjection of egoism, welfare or harm to others is lost sight of, nor is there any thought of the Lord! Such an egoistic person of devilish nature, does not consider anybody of any importance in comparison to himself. He treats himself as the most perfected one, powerful and also the one who considers himself supremely happy in external opulence and indulgences; not just this, they become extremely charged with anger against the persons who create even the slightest obstacle in catering to and nourishing his egoism, even indulging in thrashing and not even having qualms even in killing, considering oneself superior by indulging in such behaviour.
