One whose attachment is destroyed forever, who has become devoid of body consciousness and clinging, whose inner state is that of constant abidance in the knowledge of the Lord, all such actions of a person which are performed for sake of sacrifice get dissolved.

💬 Commentary English

On the subject of yoga of action at times whilst performing action the state of being a non-doer and at other places while engaging in action freedom from bondage and elsewhere the fact of not incurring sins has been stated. Here the clear indication is given for the dissolution of all actions. Respected saint Swami Ram Sukh Das has found this verse to be the most important of the yoga of action due to this reason. In the eventuality of freedom from clinging and egoism the steadfastness in divine knowledge will be automatically attained. No separate effort is to be made for it. These two propensities attached to action keep the embodied being under its grip. Does not allow one to aspire for the Reality, despite being of the nature of knowledge keeps the being in ignorance.

I am doing and all this is mine. The attachment with the body and objects is related to it. In reality, all this is untrue and without basis. Take yourself away from this and turn yourself towards Reality. Perform actions not selfishly but selflessly for general welfare. 'Yajnayacaratah karma' perform actions with an attitude of sacrifice. The welfare of others, working for others, not to seek happiness but to give it is the attitude of sacrifice. This should be the way to act.

The seed has no longer capacity to germinate. It means that it is finished. Actions are happening, previous destiny is getting exhausted and the propensities due to which further actions take place 'punarapi jananam punarapi maranam'-become the cause of birth and death or coming and going from the world. These tendencies cease to exist. It means that there is no condition under which such actions will take place, due to which the Lord simply said-'samagram praviliyate' the dissolution of all actions. Neither remains the bamboo nor the flute made out of it.
