dṛṣṭvā tu pāņdavānīkam vyüdham duryodhanastadā

ācāryamupasamgamya rājā vacanamabravīt

🕉 English Translation

Vyuh rachna jo dekhe pandav saina ki To duryodhan main yeh mache khalbali, pahuch kar nikat apne acharya ke vachan dambh main bhar kar usne kahen.

📜 Translation English

Sanjay said– At that point of time King Duryodhana after seeing the Pandava army drawn up in the battle array approached Dronacharya and spoke these words:

💬 Commentary English

Duryodhana was carrying the suspicion within himself that Grandsire Bhishma and Dronacharya were not with him from the core of their heart, from within they are siding with the Pandavas. Therefore, in every statement of Duryodhana, his diplomacy, politics craftiness is evident. First he had a look at the army and then he approached his teacher. It is good to approach the teacher and guide; it is necessary as well. But one should do so with a pure and clear mind and with humility. Here, it appears that by describing the battle array of the Pandavas, Duryodhana is trying to provoke his teacher. Not only this, one should see further how Duryodhana is trying to convey his ideas and what he is trying to portray–
