📜 Translation English

The destruction of the family leads to the destruction of the eternal religious rites. On the destruction of the rites of the family the whole family comes under the influence of sin.

💬 Commentary English

This logic of Arjun seems to be all right from worldly point of view. If in this manner all start fighting and killing how the eternal family religion will survive? This is a distinguishing feature of Hindu religion that the sanctity of traditions and norms is fully taken care of and that care is possible when righteousness prevails. Religion makes us feel aware of the relations, bonds and norms governing them. From this point of view Arjun is right in stating so.

Because all these statements of Arjun are made in a state of delusion of the mind. The state of righteousness for the warrior in the battlefield and for the robber eager to rob has to be evaluated according to the opportunity and circumstance. Whatever it may be, Arjun's so-called sermon seems to be carried forward.
