It is the normal nature of the mind, that to whatever it attaches significance and accepts, it becomes naturally inclined towards that. On intellect giving importance to something the interest increases and on the interest being established there would be liking towards that object, state or action! Here this verse is the practical evidence of this very principle-
If one desires then the mind would get inclined towards the Lord, His adoration would follow naturally. Then allow intellect to know the significance of the Lord. Importance is given to the world and adoration of the Lord simultaneously-both these states cannot go together. The Lord is the highest and the superiormost. The world and its beings and objects are perishable; the Supreme is imperishable. The world is insentient and the Supreme is consciousness Himself! The world is in itself impermanent, painful, sorrowful, transitory whereas the Lord is of the nature of Bliss. Whatever aspect or sphere is deliberated upon, this would be the conclusion one arrives at. Make your mind understand! Time and again, give this a thought. The attachment towards the world will then get abandoned. The mind is one! Till now it is entangled in the enchantment of the world. On understanding the reality automatically and naturally the inclination will turn towards the Divine. The mind in every way will become devoted to Him. The dedication of the mind towards the Lord is, in fact, real worship.
The conclusion of the chapter is extremely profound and full of substance and also simultaneously encouraging-
