Chapter 7 — Gyan Vigyan Yoga

🕉 Original Sanskrit Shloka

etadyonīni bhūtāni sarvāņītyupadhāraya

ahaṁ kṛtsnasya jagataḥ prabhavaḥ pralayastathā

🕉 English Translation

Jad aur chetan ke sanyog se,

Prani sabhi paida hote hain yeh.

Hun mool karan bhi duniya ka mai,

Utpatti, sanghar,sab mujhse hain.

📜 Translation English

O Arjun! Know that all beings have their origin in these types of nature, and I am the origin of the world and its dissolution as well, i. e. that I am the primeval cause of the entire world.

💬 Commentary English

Nothing is possible to be achieved by the lower nature by itself. The electrical equipment cannot operate on their own. When the current flows through them, then they will be able to function. The current by itself is merely energy, when the equipment is attached to it, then only light or cool air or any other appropriate function of the appliances will be seen to take place. The birth of the all beings is due to the combination of the sentient and insentient-Insentient (lower nature) and the Supreme consciousness (higher nature):


The origin and dissolution of the world is due to the Supreme. The same Lord is the efficient and material cause of the world. All the beings originate from Him and also finally dissolve in Him. The ice is made up of water and on melting it again becomes water. Nature may be lower or higher, body or the embodied soul, at the base of both of them is that Greatest Being, the Supreme Lord.
