kāmaistaistairhṛtajñānāḥ
prapadyante'nyadevatāḥ
tam tam niyamamāsthāya prakṛtyā niyatāḥ svayā
Icchhayon se gyan jiska dhaka,
Swabhav ke vash mein hokar sadaa.
Puja kare devatayon ki woh,
Doondhe niyam apne anusar jo.

The subjugation to desires is in fact the irony of human life. Desires are ignorance; desires veil the ability to discriminate, the end result of desire is sorrow. Desires carry the being away from his actual goal, but even then the human being keeps on desiring and many a time subjection to desires becomes his destiny and nature. The attraction of external happiness and impressions of desires which are collected and form one's nature limit him to that extent.
That desires should be filled and they are also the goal of worship, recitation of
scriptures and religious underakings! That too not being sought from the Supreme;
wherever and whatever desires are fulfilled by any of the gods, the very same gods would
be worshipped, by whatever manner compliance of norms is achieved, compliance in
the same manner! Sometimes and somewhere in a sattvic (pure) manner and sometime
if the need be then undertakings are performed in a rajasic manner and several times
for the fulfilment of desires tamsic (base) means are used-unconsumable items, even if
it is at the cost of suffering of others, my wishes should be fulfilled; some situation may
even reach to the heinous state of animal sacrifice. There is a need to give a serious
thought. What is life? What is the goal? What prompts one to worship, do devotion
and religious undertakings? How and why? This form of devotion does not appear to
be based on discrimination; even then the Lord is displaying his magnanimity-
