📜 Translation English

I see You crowned with Your mace and discus and I also see You as a mass of luminous energy, dazzling on all sides, blazing like burning fire and radiant like the sun, difficult to behold with eyes and from all sides immeasurable.

💬 Commentary English

Brahma and Shankar have been described in the fifteenth verse. Arjun could see them in the universal form. Here the description which is of donning the crown and mace and discus in the hands, has been described as 'kiritinam, gadinam, cakrinam and then holding the conch and lotus, etc. He is seen as the Lord with four arms in the form of Lord Vishnu. It is difficult to behold the fiercely blazing fire for a long time; it is also very difficult to look at the radiant sun too with the eyes, as the eyes get dazzled; You are even their primal source and a mass of brilliance. Your glory and radiance is so bright that it is difficult to look at. Even after being blessed with the divine sight if Arjun is saying this, then try to imagine how heavenly and extraordinary would have been the brilliance of the Lord!

Your radiance is not limited to You as You are bevond measures and unlimited; that is why even the blazing brilliance appears to be spreading all around. In straight terms if you desire to take your life from darkness to light, if you want to do away with the evil qualities and propensities which reside inside and also the darkness of ignorance, then always keep yourself associated with the Lord; make Him reside in your mind. Where He is darkness cannot be there; light will by itself spread out.
