📜 Translation English

O Janardan! Elaborate your power of yoga and glory once again, as I do not feel satiated by listening to Your nectar like speech i. e. that the eagerness to hear more persists.

💬 Commentary English

The nature of the Lord is 'dinae dinae navamam navam' (every day, increasingly new glory) and the happiness derived from Him is (prati shan vardhamanam) intensifying every moment. It may be in the form of name, form, sportive play, abode-His nature is ever fresh and happiness derived from them intensifies. Whether you call out to Him or fix your gaze on Him, say or hear something about Him, in very aspect of His sweetness is found! That too such sweetness in which one never feels satiated. The joy obtained creates a longing for more.

Arjun is precisely in this state. The Lord has related some of his glories which were heard by Arjun. The longing did not subside. Instead, it grew-

There is a limit to every happiness which can be derived from senses and sensual objects in this world. On being utilized the happiness derived from them diminishes. But here the joy which is obtained by the hearing, reading and reflecting on spiritual thoughts relating to the divine increases; for this reason though it is delightful still there is never satiation. Such insatiation too is good. The essential nature of the Lord is fathomless and limitless; discussions about Him also without any limit and the happiness derived from them is also boundless! This is a blissful and divine inspiration to immerse deep into the devotion or meditation of the Lord; this is the grandeur of devotion.

Some people are of the opinion that why should one repeatedly hear the name of the Lord, recite or see His forms? In fact such people have not tried any such thing. The same viewpoint is held for the story Ram related in the Ram Charit Manas. If one is satiated on hearing the divine story then it is definite that one will be deprived of the bliss ensuing from it. There is always joy in the nectar-like divine narrations; the more it is heard, the more is the happiness received.

The more it is recited, the more is the joy! The more it is heard, the more is the joy; the number of times one does them, on every occasion his joy is ever renewed, every time fresh, growing with every repetition! For this reason Arjun is compelled to state-'bhuyah kathaya' state it again and keep on repeating. You keep on showering the nectar and let me enjoy the pleasure of it.

Arjun's prayers were answered and Lord Shri Krishna became willing to narrate His glories.
