9. Rajvidya Rajguha Yoga

Supreme knowledge about understanding that divine force for an enlightened life and supreme secret of intrinsic nature of God is explained in ninth chapter.

(Yoga of Royal Knowledge and Royal Secret)

The sermon of the Gita is meant for unravelling all the facts, truths and secrets relating to the embodied being, creation and the creator. It is indeed a very profound subject, but even then the simplicity with which the Krishna of the Gita has expounded and elucidated this topic, that is in fact very wonderful, unique and original. What is creation and who is the creator? How are they related and in what manner? What is the essential nature of the creator, the Lord and what is the place of the embodied being between these two? These are such secretive questions, that without grasping them it is neither possible for the spiritual truth to be understood nor can it be assimilated.

In the ninth chapter of the Gita all these subjects have been touched upon in a subtle manner in some places and at others there is a startling analysis of the same. For this reason, this chapter is entitled as royal knowledge and the ultimate secret. In the seventh chapter whilst giving inspiration for knowledge as well as wisdom the Blessed Lord has discussed His own nature. Arjun taking up the concluding verses of the seventh chapter raised a few questions which led to the commencement of the eighth chapter. The eighth chapter was completed with answers to these very questions. Now the ninth chapter commences with the preacher of the Gita's sermon taking up the issues relating to the very same knowledge and wisdom.
